weekly words week 28 - summer camp and cookies

hello again! it’s strange how quickly time has passed, we’re already at the 10th post of weekly words. following post is a few highlights from week 28.

what have you been up to this week?

this week was the very last working week before summer. i worked monday and tuesday, checked off activities, wrapped things up and left clear reminder notes on tasks i’ll pick up after vacation for my future self’s pleasure. :)

when work was finished, i celebrated vacation time with some deep fried artichoke, my favorite food.

this week was filled with a lot of cookie eating, chewy caramel cuts and dreams (dreams are cookies with a delicate vanilla scent).

the week was also packed with nature walks and jogging. i started an extreme minimalist challenge to try out the packing party activity. i read a lot of books. i went on my first summer camp. and did some archery.

how is the creativity process going?

i write a lot these days, it’s another way of creating for me. and i’ve started slowly writing songs. if any idea pops up i try to quickly catch it before it disappears.

what are you listening to?

i listen to Tenno’s Spirit of Life. i really enjoy japanese style lofi music. it’s soothing and also pretty epic to listen to.

what are you watching?

i found an anime called ”Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits” and i must say at first i had low expectations of it because of the synopsis, but it’s indeed a nice anime, quite funny and special but the story has a depth, the art is beautiful and there is a strong female character.

”After losing her grandfather, Aoi—a girl who can see spirits known as ayakashi—is suddenly approached by an ogre. Demanding she pay her grandfather’s debt, he makes a huge request: her hand in marriage! Refusing this absurd offer, Aoi decides to work at the Tenjin-ya bed and breakfast for the ayakashi to pay back what her family owes.”

what are you reading?

i read ”the building blocks of meditation” by Nick Keomahavong.

and also the manga ”ouran high school host club”, 11th volume.

what have you been buying or decluttering?

i bought some archery equipment, i realized i needed to reduce my bow’s strength and i shoot a lot better now.

how are your 5 habits?

reflect: 5/5

meditate: 5/5

exercise: 4/5

read: 5/5

create: 2/5

what are you grateful for?

the tasks that patiently wait for me until i’m back at work. :)
