perhaps you've been there yourself. a broken relationship. broken trust. It's all a mess. you've held on for too long and it's time to let go. even though it hurts you know it's the right thing to do. based on my past experiences, HDWW starts with a hopeful but still broken point of view, so to say. you see, the person wants to wait for the relationship to be better and at the same time wants for this feeling of love to disappear. there is a wall around the partner, a wall you can't see with your eyes. but it's there. at the end of the song, the person is the one that has given up. but now, the partner comes back. when it's too late.
love is always tricky to write about. i feel that sad lyrics goes together with a happy melody.
